I am writing about a play called a A Midsummer's Night Dream. This play is a shakespearean comedy. The characteristics of a comedy is lovers overcome obstacles between them, mistakes in identity,has a different plot lines, family tension, and frequent use of puns. The play I have read there were multiple examples of the play conforming to the characteristics of the comedy on of them being the family tension between Hermia and her father. Hermia’s father wants her to marry Demetrius  but she loves Lysander. That is one example of how the play follows the format. The play does not differ from the format.
